1992 Geo storm GSi 1.8 rus ruff injector 1 & 3 are not firing getting spark but no signal to injectors

  • Paul's Auto Repair LLC Feb 03, 2019

You will have power on both sides. The ECM pulls that signal to ground very quickly while running. You can use a test light or a bulb in line to confirm if this is happened. No clicking can indicate that the driver in ecm is bad, bad wiring to injector, or broken injector windings internally

How do you know there is no signal to injectors? If you verified this is true, then you may have a driver circuit problem in the ECM. If not and you have the injectors being pulled to ground but they are not firing, you could have plugged injectors.

Testimonial: "I have 12v to both pins on injector, used test light not meter, and i used a stethascope and listened. can hear pulsing on 2 & 4 but nothing on 1 & 3"

if voltage is on both sides of the injector your computer is bad if only on one side try a crankshaft position sensor its very common with these cars.

SOURCE: 1992 geo metro cranks but does not start. Will

You might want to see if the timing belt might have jumped. If you getting gas and spark it should of fired.Try this Hold the gas pedal to the floor and crank on it for a few.By doing this you shut off fuel flow to motor and it tries to burn what has been injected.Don't let off of the pedal or make sure to press down before cranking.Maybe it flooded it self by cranking slow..If car still does not start after cranking the motor over a few times spay some starting fluid into the intake or throttle body and try to start. If fires and misses back fires has a slow pedal response its more than likely the timing belt....

Does a distributor from a 1993 geo storm gsi 1.8 fit a 1993 geo storm base?

most probably not, the GSi has a different head. Base has a 12 valve, GSi has a 16V. Check for part numbers. Do you need just the cap or the entire distributor?

wiki facts.
The larger 1.8 L 4XF1 DOHC replaced the 4XE1 in North America and produces 140 hp (104 kW) and 125 ft/lb (169 Nm) of torque. This engine was used in the 1992-1993 Geo Storm GSi, in the 1992 Isuzu Stylus RS, and in the Asuna Sunfire. In Japan it was installed in the Isuzu Piazza, where it had 150 PS (110 kW).

It sounds like a fuel leak from a failed hose. You should take it too a shop before it catches fire.

We bought a 1990 geo storm gsi an dwe cant getit satarted wel we can but only when we spray ether into it will it start and stay on we are not getting any juice to the fuel system the fuel ump iis not...

I had these exact symptoms and found that there are two ground straps attached by ten millimeter bolts right near the throttle plate on top of the manifold. These ground the circuit you are describing.
Also the computer grounds a circuit which fires a relay that runs the fuel pump.
You have a blow fuse or are missing a ground for your circuit.

I have a 1992 geo prizme with a gass leak at the injetors

This is something you don't fool with; I tried getting injectors on a Jeep tight again when they started bleeding fuel and ended up with an engine fire and replacing the entire harness under the hood. It wasn't fun.
Many injectors are a combination of steel and plastic are are prone to separate with age and too many thermal cycles.
Shop them; the low:high price range is huge.
If you can find the part number for them, check this company as they have always been very competitive:

Injectors not spraying

I'm not a pro but sounds like your injectors might be clogged. Try buying a high strength fuel system cleaner from like Autozone but sounds like you might have to remove the injectors and clean them manually. Are you sure they are firing? You can listen to them fire by placing a stethoscope on them and verify there is a uniform ticking noise in them while the engine is running.
